NEW RELEASE: Turn your cell phone into an extraplanar portal

3D-printed cell phone case for RPG portal creation

files are available in full size and split at the 4-inch mark to accommodate most build plates.

3D-printable gaming terrain: curved riser

Don’t let your enemies get the high ground.

3D-printable curved stairs for tabletop RPG

Nine out of ten gnomes recommend these stairs for getting the drop on enemies. The last gnome opted for a hot-air balloon and hasn’t been seen since.

If you’ve ever wished your cell phone could open a portal to the outer planes, today is your lucky day. We won’t ask what extraplanar shenanigans you’re up to because we respect your privacy.

The phone base (top pic) is big enough to hold most phones. If your phone is small, you might need a shim to keep it in place, but the picture should display just fine. Or slide in any print photo you like. If you’re following our Patreon, we included some original artwork based on James Julier’s tutorials to get you started.

We’ve also got curved risers for multilevel layouts in the round and have updated older files to allow for more precision in your dungeon designs.

MAKER MONDAY: A slime draws near!

Slime-stack earrings from Dragon Quest

I originally designed these Dragon Quest-inspired earrings as a single slime, but they looked like Hershey’s kisses, so I opted for a slime stack instead. They’re made from scrap wood, designed with Silhouette’s Design Studio, cut on my Glowforge, hand-painted, and domed with resin for a shiny finish.

You can find them in our store for $15.

NEW RELEASE: Dramatic boss calls for dramatic door

Wood door with skull overhang

This is either a torture chamber or a nursery. Be bold!

60-degree stone floor tile

60-degree stone floor for when you’re tired of walking on sunshine.

60-degree stone walls and floors for 3D printing

Don’t be such a square! bE A HEXAGON INSTEAD! lOW-WALL 60-DEGREE TILES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE.

Go ahead. Open the door. Nothing can possibly go wrong.

Grant Abbitt’s YouTube tutorial inspired the door in the top photo. Check it out if you want to sculpt your own.

There was no getting around the need for supports with this design, and the skull might be tricky to print on FDM. We included skull-free doors in case you want a simpler print, or a fun door that’s 100% less menacing.

A door without walls is just a teeny floor, so be sure to download our other February releases: 60-degree walls and floors for building Y intersections and hexagonal rooms. They’re so acute you’ll fall in love!

MAKER MONDAY: I wear my heart on my earlobe

Remember: When two hearts beat as one, seek immediate medical assistance. You are experiencing a serious health crisis.

I finished these Valentine’s Day earrings just in time for the holiday last week, as a gift to myself.

I bought the design from SniggleSloth on Etsy and modified it to add a hole for the jump ring. Then I laser-cut the pieces from scrap wood, hand-painted them, sprayed them with a clear UV-resistant coating to prevent yellowing, and domed the earrings with UV resin.

MAKER MONDAY: Video game controller earrings

We’re back after a brief time-out for the holidays and to let Devon recover from his appendectomy. Devon’s doing well and made good use of the enforced downtime to work on terrain files and personal projects.

I cut these earrings on our Glowforge and hand-painted them with the new POSCA paint pens I got for Christmas. (Our kids stole my last set.) The earrings are available through our shop here and on Etsy.

In other news, we’re working on compiling all of Devon’s 3D-terrain files on a USB drive for people who want an easy-to-access format. As soon as we work out the most efficient way to fulfill and ship them, I’ll let you know how you can get one.
