Legolas.org relaunched

This site has a long history, but it has lain fallow largely since the late 90s.  There was a point where the Legolas RPG Index was the largest RPG site on the web.  Alas, this has not been the case since something like 1997.  As I left college, and moved into my career, my ability and willingness to maintain the site waned and eventually it sat, slowly bit-rotting for years. Well, with the release of the first software project in the new Masterwork Tools series: Masterwork Tools: Pathfinder Open Reference, I have decided to bring this site back to life.  The new life of this site will be primarily dedicated to RPG Software, mostly (but not entirely) the software packages I'm now producing.

I've been a role player for a very long time, and I love the paper play experience.  The problem is that I think the game gets bogged down as the characters get to higher levels and they have to interact with more abilities and rules.  The goal for the Masterwork Tools series is to produce lightweight apps that make dealing with  gaming rules and accounting faster and easier.

I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Pathfinder Open Reference 1.0 ready for release!

After months of working on the first Masterwork Tool, the Pathfinder Open Reference, whenever I have a chance, the final feature has been added (Phone support and better support for 7" tablets).  I'll take it into a final round of testing at our weekly game, then if nothing big comes up, call it gold and ship it.  Following that,  it should be available from the Google Play store ASAP.  Following that I'll look into making it available in the kindle store.  If you want to give it a try now, you can download the latest version here. The Pathfinder Open Reference has been designed from the ground up to be as usable, fast and unobtrusive as possible.  I've done my best with the bookmarks, search system, and unique method of assembling the articles to try and make this app lightning fast to find the rule you need so you can get back to the actual gaming.  I hope you all enjoy it.

Happy Gaming,

Devon Jones
