Pathfinder Open Reference 1.1 beta 3 is out

1.1 Beta 3 is now out. If you want access to betas, join the Google + community and then follow the tester link. Changes:

  • Added a new feature: History.  You can access it from the options (the three little boxes in the upper right) or just by swiping from the right of any screen.
  • Added another new feature: App has an option that can send the user to the app's Google+ community

Changes in Beta 1

  • This is the first version using the beta system
  • Mythic rules added
  • 2nd printing Ultimate Combat errata
  • 3rd printing GameMastery Guid errata
  • Start of API added (documentation forthcoming)

OpenForge

I've spent much of the winter working on gaming terrain.  I've had a 3d printer for a bit over a year, and of course eventually I turned it towards gaming.  I've been posting the results on thingiverse (you can also grab the source off of github), under the name OpenForge.  I named it that because they are designed to be compatible with Dwarven Forge's fantastic tiles, but they are also open source. I've decided to start posting them here so the broader world can see them.  I've created an OpenForge section of the site to show off the various sets and help people find where to download the.

Masterwork Tools Google + Community created

So the app now has over 100,000 users.  Just wow.  Because of this I've started to become a bit nervous about just pushing code out to so many people without broader testing.  Google has added a feature to let you push both Beta and Alpha builds to select people.  To do this, you need either a Google Group or a Google + Community.  So I've created a Googe + Community for Masterwork Tools where people can discuss the app, features they would like, problems they have and can get early access to betas of the application. If you want early access, and are willing to report bugs, please, come join the community.

Pathfinder Open Reference 1.0.18 Released!

With such a big release last week, it as inevitable there would be some bugs.  1.0.18 is being released to address those: 1.0.18 -

  • Monster entries has spurious data under Natural Armor, Hit Dice and Breath Weapon
  • New classes were missing all spells from previous books
  • Adept spell list was broken
  • All core, base and npc classes with spells now have a linked list of spells that is a part of the class entry
  • Bookmark links on the side crashed on tablets
  • Bookmarks created in previous versions were not converting properly
  • Screen rotate now restores your location in the article
  • Cleanup of a bunch of articles based on feedback

It's possible there are still bookmark defects floating about.  I'll keep an eye out for them and fix them if they crop up
